About Flora Howard

About Us

Flora is an art historian by training and was Features Editor at Country Life before embarking on a career in textile design.

When Flora’s son Arthur arrived in 2013 she searched for a Babar The Elephant fabric to decorate his nursery.  Eight years (and two more children!) later, we are delighted to bring you the launch collection and hope you love the designs as much as we do.

Our promise

Our social and environmental credentials are as important to us as our end product. We are constantly looking at ways in which we can improve everything we do, if you have any ideas or would like to know more, please do get in touch.

We are honoured to be supporting children's mental health charity, Place2Be, (www.place2be.org.uk) throughout the year. The charity provides mental health services in over 600 primary and secondary schools in the UK, helping to build children's resilience through talking, playing and creative activities.

We are also delighted to donate to TUSK, an incredible organisation working in Africa ‘who over 30 years have increased vital protection for more than 40 different threatened species across 20 countries.’
